Export (Import) of landie to Portugal

I am soon moving to Portugal and want to make my much loved landie with me. Has anyone any experience of importing a Landie to Portugal from the UK. My landie was originally registerd in Germany (lhd).

Its a pain in the ass.....do a google search... you can drive it on english plates but tthe police are becoming very hardline....if you take someone to the airport with english plates you will be very likely followed home by them and fined for not transfering to portugeses plates...i'll have a look for you as my parents live over there and i did find a good site, think it was Algarve Gazette related.

there were some portugese members on this site a while ago. I think a couple of them were from the central bit....type portugal into the search bar at the top of the page...my parent live on the algarve ....in the quiet bit, not the touristy bits.... i would love to explore the green bit of portugal more...it was dark last time i drove through
