I've got a completely standard exhause with 2 silencers. The tailpipe section fell off the rear silencer yesterday, so I took the rear section off to see if it was repareable but its too far gone.

I don't want to put a standard rear section back one, would prefer it without a muffler. So my question is would this be the part I need to replace the old section, does it clamp up to the middle pipe just infront of the rear axle and exit out where the standard one would?

Mine's a 96 plate, Defender 90. Unlike yours, mine has the single box system. That is the rear tail pipe that fits on my system. No idea if it's interchangeable with yours though!

I might shout it up anyway, as long as its got all the right bends, I can make it fit with some doctoring

Shout it up?
I reckon exhaust pipes are tricky to doctor. Do you have pipe benders and a welder?
This is my system.

The box sits under the passenger seat/in to the rear tub area. If that's where your first box sits, then it might work. If you go on Paddocks you might be able to compare the two systems, IIRC they have pictures of the different system sets of pipes.

I'm a welder fabricator, if the pipe has the bends in it already I'll just need to cut and add/remove pipe where needed. I live near Paddocks so might just go have a look instead of ordering blind off the net
