Guys I have a hole in my down pipe I think it bolts to the bottom of the turbo. It has a flexible joint on it. It's the flexible joint that has completely gone.

Mine is a jap import and when I went onto rimmer brothers all there pipes say that they do not fit jap imports. Anybody know where I can get this part of the system from and does it normally have the caterletic converter attached to it? Was thinking of removing any way.

DEFENDER-DAZ had a Japanese 300TDi for sale a couple of years ago, that had had a replacement exhaust, "New full exhaust system with straight through pipe from turbo to back box (1 silencer box at rear of exhaust)"

ask him where he got it, if it was not a UK item !

Just re move the Japanese system and fit a complete European spec system, simple.

Thanks bud, can not really afford a full system.. Have a lil one due in 2.5 months.. :)

i cant see why esr2297 wont fit , you need to jack chassis away from axle with a bottle jack to help though as no flexi joint

I replaced the whole exhaust on my 300tdi Jap import last year. £75 from ebay, solid downpipe (possibly the part number that James mentioned, think it's a defender item without the flexi), straight pipe to replace the middle box and a single backbox.

Took me less than 2 hours from start to finish. As James says you just need to jack the body up to squeeze in the new solid pipe. Check the bolts and flange between the downpipe and the middle box, I had to cut them off so be prepared to replace the middle box if you can't separate them neatly.

Think they are advertised as "sport systems" due to the straight through middle section.
