Will be doing it at Drizz's workshop. Just need a hand to get mine out, most of the work is moving 1 eninge out & the other off Dan's chassis & in mine. The rest is just fitting all the pipe work back on, only thing I need to make is the exhaust.
A date it is then 23/24, may even take you down the pub for a beer if we get the engine's done the first day. I'll PM everybody in the week who don't know where to go. Thanks in advance for who ever comes.

Ill see if I can come up on Saturday.
Is Drizz bringing his chassis to his workshop as I know he needs a hand removing the engine.

Cheers Brian. Don't know where the chassis/engine will be come the weekend. Think I need to see you as I need a flywheel, as Dan's is auto & I'm changing it to manual.

Dont forget the spigot bearing, think there are at least 2 types, where abouts are you doing this ?

I don't know which one I'll need just know it's a early 300 non edc so may get both. At Dan's near sudbury, think Geoff is coming up you may want to come with him. Just found out I don't need a flywheel as 200 & 300 are both the same.
Just need a clutch, seal (LT77) & spigot bush (will try & find out which one).

Im hoping mine will be off my chassis tomorrow/monday if i can get help.
With regards to my workshop, i need to request that anyone attending uses the access road with respect i.e. neighbours/residents/landlords are people i dont want to upset so keep the speed down and noise to a minimum. There is a car park next to the yard so again use this with some thought as others need to use it to. Lastly please dont give out any details of location and whats around there for obvious reasons!

Today was fun!

Anyone looking to do this heres what you need to do (doing it from memory so i might forget a step or two lol)

1. Lube the 10 body mountings and the 4 Tie rods for the belts regularly a few days before you start. (i didnt, and it was an arse!)

2. Disconnect handbrake cable

3. Remove gear gaitors

4. Unplug the looms behind the fusebox

5. Disconnect Matrix pipes

6. Unbolt Fuel filter housing

7. Disconnect throttle cable (if applicable)

8. Unbolt engine bay fusebox and relative wires to battery

9. Unbolt Earth strap by drivers side lashing eye

10. Take off induction Pipe from the turbo

11. Unbolt the top rad mounts

12. Unclip the standard breathers of if a breather kit fitted, work out where it goes and remove it where it mounts to the body

13. Disconnect the fuel filler pipe and breather pipes

14. Unplug the tow bar electrics, and rear bumper lights

15. Unbolt rear seat belt buckles

16. Disconnect the steering prop, at one of the ends, not in the middle

17. Undo the 2 tie bars underneath next to the TX brake drum and exhaust silencer on the opposite side

18. Undo all 10 body mounts

19. Apply plasters, contribute to the swear box, wipe the sweat from youre brow

20. Lift the body off checking for anything still connected youve missed

21. Tidy up!

I was going to PM the address to anybody who don't know where it is but I think most know where it is.
I'm sure everybody will behave themself's as I'll take the blame for any if it goes on, as you say don't want to pee off the neighbours.

Starting to give up the hunt for a decent Pajero and am now thinking about going back to a Disco... I cant believe how difficult it is to find a swb GLS Pajero/Shogun for sensible money! I have found a nice 3 door 300TDi that may be worth a shout but if anyone knows of any prep'd Disco's give us a shout... The idea of the Pajero was that they don't need prepping up whereas I will need to spend a bit on a disco but if I cant find one then I dont have much choice...

I think as you're a dub fan like me you should get a vw syncro. You like vw and you like offroading so it'd be the perfect match :D :D :D

Didn't Mitsubishi make a 4x4 camper, delcia maybe ?

I got to agree with matt on this one....

Only reason for a Shogun was they come prep'd up as standard, steering, sump, diff, transfer and tank guards, a very strong drivetrain and a rear locker, was hoping not to have to spend out again but I'm starting to think I will just get another Disco and take my time doing bits, to start with a steering guards, suspension lift and tyres will be enough for my needs, just need to find a not to rotten one... or a Shogun if one comes up whilst looking... If I didn't want a locking rear diff theres plenty out there but I am specifically after a SWB GLS model which turns out to be wooden horse poop rare...
