If you would like a stronger standard one for now, mine is available.

I have a mint one I want to put on before I sell the truck.

Mine is a bit rusty (surface only, can be rubbed down and painted) but solid, never been bent.

Cheers Brian, There's one on fleebay that I'm hoping to get, I'll keep you posted. If you do sell the truck, what are you hoping to get in replacement?

I'm not a fan of bull bar's. But I am now on the lookout for a HD or winch bumper. I fear my one is a lot weaker now its already been bent once. come to mention it I don't think it was very strong before i bent it:doh:

I am going to put a wrap round on mine when i find a cheap one , and I got some more money, lol

good to see your got it sorted tho.

Oi!

Got stuck massively today at a pay and play! Could have done with a winch then. Ended up getting pulled out backwards by a tractor.

Disco filled up with water right up to the pedals!! So carpets have got to come out :(

Thas good, be good to see it working, did you manage to get the battery tight in the end, so you dont have to remoev it, lol

Managed to get everything into the battery box, it's really tight in there,( where have i heard that before, oh yes!! in my dreams) had to buy a smaller second battery to get it all in. will post some pics when i get a minute to myself. works gone mental, two big jobs needing to be started at the same time, so having to sub some of it out, which is a pain seeing as things have been really slow for god know,s how long. Who,s up for some play time week after next. may be sunday 6th do stansted to braintree lanes.

one of the peruls of playing in big puddles, up to the pedels, not far off the air intake then?

i am trying to keep away from taking my carpet out, lol, prob a natural end. blocking all the water ways into a landy is imposible, i try to stop water getting in by vasilining the rubbers seems to help as is have only had the odd small wheep, when fording/wading.

Stu...... Your head is too big. Got a little water in the engine :(

Kept running though while sitting for a tug. Got it out then it started spluttering and stalling but after giving it a few hard revs it cleared itself.

Far to embarrassed to put photos up! I'll download them off me camera and get them up soon.

Got to sort carpets out :( dreading lifting the carpets up..... Scared I'm going to find some rust!

Come on......
I've posted the pictures of my driver error (cock up).

Easy done, but with you and Brian I'm saving for a snorkel

wife wants to know is that a roundabout description of a **** or wat happened to the car.

Ripped my carpets out last night and was shocked to see how much water was being held in the sponge underlay  even if the carpet drys out this just holds the water rotting the floor so i would recommend binning it and just getting some rubber floor mats. Mine didnt even get that wet.

Found a hole as well :(

Now uploading to the internet. Will pop them up in a minute.

A point to note... if you're going to be keeping their disco longterm...... DEFIANTLY REMOVE THE SOUND MATTING!!

I started pulling everything out from the boot forwards. I know the boot didn't get flooded as it went in nose first and then grounded. Water was still 6 inches away from entering that area. But the sound mats were still wringing wet! Moved onto the rear passenger footwells....... oh dear! Foooking soaked

Then onto the front....... Still had an inch of water under the carpets.

Sucked out all water with a vax, binned sound matting and hung everything else up to dry.

I'll give it until tomorrow then wash the floor properly with soap and water, dry it off and leave it another day before refitting. Just now trying to find some waxoyl.

Just about to be dragged out backwards by a John Deere

You were lucky not to get the air inlet get too far underwater by the looks of things.

I am selling mine so have fitted back all the sponge otherwise too noisy and will limit my potential buyers to those just wanting an off road toy.

I don't think my sound matting will ever dry out. Just taken it down the tip. Gone forever :D

Water was up near the air intake. It ran fine in the water but when the tractor yanked it out, i reckon a bit went up the exhaust. Had a few minutes of spluttering and stalling but it cleared itself thankfully. I'm now scared of water for life

I will still say what ever you do if your going to play in water that is deeper then a few inches off road you dont know where the bottom is all over, so a snorkel is a must, you may not use it to wade but if you drop in a hole its there and your safer. you can then play in deeper water as well:D:D:D:D
