thats pretty cool, what engine has it got? and what year is it?

nice! hows it run?

Very quietly.

As in "click"................. :D

Needs work. But i've had three of these in the past, and the engines are bulletproof. Minimal electrickey to deal with, only requires the three basics to run; fuel, spark and air. No computer degree needed.
Won't be a massive hurdle. I've just not dived into it yet as it was only recently given to me.

cant beat the simplicity of carbs eh!
you should do a lil thread on it :D

not been on much lately due to things going on at home, hope everyone's been behaving themselves:p hopefully get the 90 back on the road next week with this nice weather we have been having, although I now gotta get two new tyres as some little bastid stabbed two of them in the side wall last week:mad: when I find out who it was the little ****s going to get his hands broken

Oh yeah, I remember you.... hows it been fella? Is the V8 in? I don't know how much you have been following on here but I have no longer got a Defender, or a Land Rover but I am now in that 'other' group of laners (I got a Shogun ). Would be good to see you out and about, I think we need another laning day soon as well as starting to organise the summer walews trip...

That looks a beast! What engine does it use, Chevy, Ford e.t.c? Use to love the sound of me ol' mans 5.7 Ford small block. I do like the yankee stuff, shame they never figured out how to drive in the correct side though ;)

Matt glad to hear your back on the road, Jon no no no why o why did ya get rid of the fender? Defo got to get out again as little man hasn't stopped bugging me as he's got withdraw symptoms I think, the landy hasn't moved for about five months I think and this afternoon I thought I would see if it would even start, to my surprise it started on the button :)so next week I got to get two new tyres, tax it and bleed the clutch and she's good to go.
Also didn't bother with the v8 to much grief it's just stripped and sitting in the shed, decided to stick with he 200tdi in the 90 so going to prob put the v8 in another project someday

Was to much money sitting there on the drive, I have got a conservatory and a few other bits to pay for and rather than skint myself for summer I thought I would downgrade to a Shogun, still it does what I need it to, good little laner, comfy, warm, quiet but no where near as fun as the 90...

Did wonder if you would do the V8, keep it for a little hot rod or something in the future, just spend a few years making it a nice engine, buying little bits here and there...

You said it, not us!!!!

Theres no denying its no landrover... I am having an interesting debate on the Mitsi forums, it started of with someone asking the benefit of live front axles and has basically deteriorated into me telling them why defenders are better off roaders than any of the jap crap...

Will stand by the fact it cost me £900 and its reliable, thats what I am consoling myself with... would kinda like another Disco in the future but no money to waste on one at present...

Must admit I've been looking at these and Hi-lux surfs as a possible winter car for later in the year

There good vehicles, on road they are a dream to drive, off road they are pretty capable, they are let down by the huge rear diff tho. I went Shogun as there are loads of spares compared to the rest and they are a nice size if you get a SWB one. Its no where near as fun as the Defender but for £900 I cant complain!
