Funnily enough mate, i took your advice and bought a mount and lead from thunderpole. Bought the SWF right down. Its still a bit high, but i think thats becasue i have a sh*tty maplins aerial. I am going to order one off thunderpole.

Also, seats look fantastic mate. Where did you get the harnesses and where did they pick up on? the exisiting seat belt spar?

Threw my toys out the pram just now.... been trying to sort this rear bumper of mine but the bastard just won't sit right. Given up for today :(

George sorry mate was thinking off selling as I'm not keen on wearing them but little man is alot safer than standard seat belts.

Johny defo get an ariel too, that marlins stuff is just crap, they look exactly like thunder pole but defo no where near as good, was shocked to see such low readings:D the harnesses I just bolted to the seat mounts that I had welded in should be defo strong enough as they say that half inch of weld should take half a ton, and I made sure they was welded in proper with decent seam welds no bird ****:D:D:D getting me old welding arm back in :):)
Got the seats and harnesses all together off gumtree for 60 quid :)

Matt sometimes it's best to Walk away when it's not going right and come back to it another time with a fresh head, don't give up on it thou I know you will get it right:)

Just found some beef steaks in the fridge so I'll be cured in about 1/2 hour :D

Just been looking at a different approach and I've come up with a better idea so will give it a whirl tomorrow. On the plus side........ the boot floor is now in FOR GOOD(!!!) so no more crash landings

What no winch or winch bumper, no steering guard, no lift ,road tyres how the hell do you expect him to keep up with the other defenders, it will **** on the disco's though.

Well last check over today and all seems to be well with the engine. Topped up the oil, checked the coolant. Then after watching Mikey and Brian adjust their tappets thought I'd do mine as well. Don't think it made feck all difference but its done now lol.
Aux tensioner is a bit squeaky so looks like that will be getting replaced along with the belt, but that can wait till a few days before Wales lol.
Tomorrows job is to get the seized studs out of the towbar mounts so tank guard designing can begin.

guys, thoughts...

I want to get some bridging ladders, i quite like the mantec ally ones.

I was thinking of mounting them on the side (as mines a van back) using some steel plates, long bolts and wing nuts. Ill drill the bolts so i can bung a padlock through them for security...

any downsides?

aside from the fact that waffle boards are cheaper..

Go for waffles ;) We were selling a load not so long back. Give Geoff a shout as he still has a few pairs left. A bargain if I do say so
