error on display

Help needed

Just come on tonight front R/H window not set what does this mean and how do I fix it has anyone got any ideas P38

its in another thread on the front page .

turn ignition on , put affected window down fully then up fully* in one continuous movement **

will hear a beep and display will tell you that window is set .

if it doesnt work , its some kind of sensor i have no idea about ***

note :
* = could be up then down , ill read my manual later and let you know
** = hard to do in one continual movement , but thats what handbook says
*** = i only have a drivers handbook . the guy in the other thread would be a better person to ask !!

Thanks Ian sorted it I put window fully down then back up straight away and it sorted it out many thanks for going to the trouble of posting pics thanks scott

ive only browsed through the sections that concerned problems ive had or things ive not been sure about TBH .

its un-canny the similarities between this car and the e39 bmw 540 i had before .....
