Hi all i have a 2002 p38
I cant turn the radio up or down whe the ignition is on and the radio controls on the steering wheel doesn’t work but when it is turned off it all works has any one got any ideas on how to fix it ty

I'd say someone has screwed with your wiring...radio out to see what's going on...Maybe was depinning/ switching wires around

No idea but might be worth checking the wiring diagram to see what goes through the rotary coupler?

Check as said the back of the stereo for any mischief, also behind the airbag on the steering wheel there is a fine band that travels between the controls, check in there for corrosion. If there has ever been a leak from the windscreen above it gets into the steering wheel....
