Error codes ???

I've done a search of this forum but can't seem to find the answer so thought I'd start a thread.
Iv'e had a reoccurring problem where the car suddenly goes into limp home mode and the dreaded F4 code on the dash. The other day I called the AA who kindly told me the error codes listed.
These are as follows : P1E05 (Cruise control ) P1E00 (Can-bus wiring) and lastly P0500 (speed sensor fault)
These codes came up after I was on the motorway using the cruise control on my 54 Freelander TD4. He reset them and about 50 miles on it happened again only this time the only code showing was the P0500 speed sensor fault.

So my question is where is the speed sensor located. Can I test it / replace it myself and does anyone have pics of the location.

TBH those codes don't give any reliable indication of the fault. There are three speed sensors within the gearbox.

Mostly it's bad connections/water ingress at the round multiplug in the gearbox harness that's responsible for the F+4

Did you find the fault that caused the P0500 code error?
