If all the dash lights come on etc on turning on the ignition, but engine does not crank over, I am with the above view...it is out of sync. Mine did just the same last month. Onto autologic & job was a good un in mimutes. Been fine since.
Good luck.

Hi
Yes all dash lights come on, It is a friend that has been trying to move the r/r to his garage to fit the new UK plates etc so i have not tried myself, I know he has some form of diagnostic equipement i am not sure what? Brian

Hi
Sorry for not replying to your earlier question (out at work) but glad Datatek answered you. Have you got sorted yet? If not, why not try asking to see if one of the good members of LandyZone is close to you and has a diagnostic kit & could sort you out for a few beer tokens.

Yes I know he wouldn't be able to clear it. BUT

Have I missed something here??

Clearing the fault wont solve the problem will it? until the fault has been rectified Shirley??

Would it not start if the fault was fixed, but then just show/log the fault?

Any hard fault has to be cleared for the system to work and this is probably loss of sync.

As far as I understand the problem I had (and many other P38 problems), then yes, clearing faults logged will solve problems.

The fault was loss of voltage. You have resolved that problem, but the fualt has been logged & sync has been lost between the GEMs & BCEM. Clearing the fault & re-sync'ing should sort you out.
I think I am sort of right, but those with a better understanding may be able to put it a bit clearer,
Good luck & keep us in the picture.
