We've been running our '96 90 since Jan and I'm loving it :)

Unfortunately OH was convinced the engine was vibrating more than it should (I didn't think so, but hey) so he went ahead and got replacement mounts for the engine and gearbox.

We replaced them (was more complicated than his research on Youtube suggested!) and since then the vibration is TERRIBLE

Before there wasn't much noticeable shake when stopped, but now when the engine is started, or at the lights, the vibration is really bad - my feet (driver) are def vibrating and the gear stick really wobbles :( It does calm down as we get moving - over 15mph it is back to what it was before.

So - anything obvious that we might have done wrong?

We're going to have a bit of an investigate to see what's what - the mounts we used were not OEM and the rubber did seem to be alot firmer so is this the reason and there is nothing we can do short of replacong again with OEM parts?

Many thanks

,changing the mounts is a little fiddly but not too bad ,have you checked front pulley ,does pressing clutch pedal change the vibration ,engine runs fins no puffs of smoke etc, gear box secured to mounts on cross member ?
