Ive been having the same issue you posted regarding ("Defender 2.4 TDCI 2008 100,000 miles. Driving home yesterday....").
with a sudden loss of power whilst driving, engine goes in to a sort of Limp mode, engine light comes on and it happens at absolutely the most inconvenient moments possible.
I was wondering how you managed to fix it?
Really hoping you can help me out.
