emergency key code?

hi ive recently bought a disco 2 v8 2001 just realised i have no emergency key code have owners manual and service book but code is not written anywhere,am i able to get this code somehow something tell,s me iam going to need it.

The code should be on a "security information card" which is with one of the previous owners.

I believe that LR keeps a database of such codes but to gain access to it you'll probably need proof of legitimate ownership of the vehicle; V5, driving licence, passport, utility bills, inside leg measurement and some beer tokens.

I'm not sure, but I think that a Nanocom diagnostic unit might be able to give you the code.

Yes as said above ^^^ you can get EKA code free form LR if you take v5 and ID . Worth getting it before you need it in a rush . As I found out one cold dark snowy morning last winter :-/

the code can be changed with tester so if the previous owner changed it the one which the main dealer gives you will not work...the most certain way is to read it with tester or even put your own code in to remember it well(nanocom can, hawkeye can't)... i recicled mine to be like my card's pin code
