Electrical fault??? All lights on!!! Someone must know?

got my car back from the garage for a 2nd time and surprise surprise it comes out with a new defect. Whilst im driving along all the dash lights will come on and rev,speedo,temp and fuel will drop off like the power to the whole unit goes!!! but all the lights in the unit come on...seperate feed maybe? What does this sound like? im gonna try and take it out at the week end and have a look.
Also noticed the lights mainly come on when turning right or go ver a small bump?? I slap the dash and they go out???

Every had this????

what was it in the garage for? the fact that you slap the dash and they go out points to a loose connection somewhere where your slapping?
if the garage had any dealing with underdash bits they may have disturbed aor not reconnected something correctly maybe?
 
Hi, there are only two mutli plugs on the instrument pack. for the sack of two screws holding the facia in. Might be worth checking these first.
 
well ive seen on the site user derry, thats he had the same problem. My car went in to have theo rings on the heater matrix changed coz it was leaking into the car (same as derry) then when i got it back all dashlights would come on spuraddically. derry then said he took it to some garage and it was a quick fix but dosnt actually say on the thread from 2005 what the guy did. Can you assist?
