Hi all,

Back again with another question! My 110 has had the 200tdi conversion by a previous owner, and there is no fan at all. So far have been alright, but got stuck behind a lorry going up a hill today and the landy was getting a bit hot, so I would like to put in an electric fan.

Two questions:

1. Do I need to get one with a thermostat, or can I just have it running permanently while the engine is on?

2. If I get one such as this, once I have fitted it to the radiator I will have a bit of wire dangling, that I assume will need to be connected to eletrickery somewhere. Where and how do I connect this?

Sorry for really basic questions, I'm slowly getting the hang of this mechanicing lark but not quite there yet! Have tried searching, but can't find much.

cheers,
Joe

Just put a switch in your dash somewhere. Mine is on a thermostat that is adjustable, it has only ever come on when I have adjusted the temp too low.. Oh and when my old td ran out of water all the time it used to..

If imagine you'd be fine using an existing one of the correct size. Mine jus has a live straight from the alternator!
