Normal, you just re-synced the FOB.:) Be wise to get your EKA code though as one day you will need it;)

actually I had it once , but....
Maybe time to get the keys serviced with new batterys and so , It´s just taht you need a sledgehammer or a angel grinder to get the back of the fob of.

:welcome2:well having re-synced approx. 260 p38s over the phone, the code HAS worked on a fair percentage of those who didn't have their E.K.A, code as im sure many of my "clients and friends " on landyzone will verify .. I know all the research and landrover official paperwork says what wammy says i.e. NAS ONLY :confused::confused::confused: but there you go "don't always believe what l/r say ":(:( I don't know why ive been successful but hey ho if it works all the better !!!!!!! regards MOZZ:):):)

I was under the impression that it wasn't possible to read the EKA on a locked BECM? At least that's what it says on the Nanocom's manual...

First time I disconnected battery on the previous 95 4.6 HSE it wouldn't accept EKA but 1515 worked first time, was surprised as I found it on another site and thought it was for NAS only, one never knows with these gRRs:)

So.....should the EKA need to be used to start after disconnecting the battery? I ask out of interest as earlier this year my battery positive terminal managed to disconnect it'self (i didn't realise until i parked up, tried to lock it & nothing). Connected the positive terminal back & fired up straight away, just had to re-set radio & windows????
