thank god for that! after a week of trying ive finally got the damn thing to accept the eka code.:D thanks to grahamcairns, who finally persuaded me to tackle thge ever fiddley door lock microswitches, it was them, so some wd40 later and it works now. still managed to lock myself out though!
now down to the fob, still no go. would upgrading to the better rf receiver get it working again, or is there another process i need to go through?
come on guys, we're nearly there, help me sort this fob out, PLEASE.:D

the fob needs resynching with receiver now ..

can't remember how but i'm sure the answer will arrive here soon !

if its a 97 onwards it should re synch itself by putting key in ignition,or put key in door press the lock button ,turn to lock, hold for 3 secs, turn to center, still holding lock button, remove key and it should work?

is the aeriel still disconnected from the receiver ?

may have to connect it again for this procedure to work ...

i think in one of your other threads you had disconnected it ...

try this: lock or unlock the car with the key then press the lock or unlock on the remote fob. i think the car has to recieve a signal from the remote within 30 secs of unlock or lock!

another one is to do the hold key and turn to front of car and hold for 15 secs then the other way and hold for i5 secs all whilst holding the lock button.

dude hold the lock button down on the fob and lock the door then hold down the unlock button on the fob and unlock the door that should reset the remote fob, i hope this helps. if not chipperfeilds in kingslangley are top blokes and they may know another way .( key has to be in door lock ):drum:

hi guys, i've tried all your suggestions, and the fob is still dead.
key now operates the central locking, and turns the alarm off on unlocking the door. eka needs putting in each time i want to start it.
im going to try moving it shortly, incase theres some inteferance from somewhere blocking the rf receiver. its a long shot, but who knows?
thanks for all your input to date.

mines been stood a week and it didnt need eka and started first time, my guess is the system is losing power somewhare along the lines as the battery should provide enough power to keep it from needing eka, have you checked the plugs for corosion?
