I know this has been done to death on various LR models but if cost was not the issue, would blanking off the (failing) egr valves on my 05 Disco 3 be the best option?

Not sure when the cutoff was, but after a certain year, if the egr is blanked it leaves the engine warning light on constantly. Think that was only after 2007 though

Don't bother removing them and buying a blanking kit,just take out the two end pipes where they go into the egr throttle body and flatten the ends.Costs nothing,looks standard and stops any egr.
