Right, just bought LRO new issue and a spread written about EGR's and MOT's I am not concerned about the MOT bit more so the part saying -

"On later vehicles with computerised engine fuelling, the EGR system has to work properly or the engine will run in limp home mode". pg168.

Please give me your opinions on this, I believe mine has the computerised engine fuelling being 1999 Jap Import. EGR already removed lol and although it pulls better not sure if my MPG has gone down so as you can imagine readig the article made me thing (****!)

you have already removed yours and it runs great, whats the problem?
if it's in lro it's probably bollox anyway:rolleyes:

OK Matillda, for a start your car will only have electronic fuelling if it's an auto TDi. This was LR's first foray into ECU fuelling and is very basic. On the EDC autos there isn't even an electrical connector on the EGR valve so there can be no ill effects.

I'm wondering if this relates to Disco 3 and 4, as I have done my Disco 2 and it runs really well.

I saw that as well, I do read about diesel things sometimes :) but they don't define "later vehicles" or the engines.
I see they state to the 110 reader who had his EGR system removed that the same sort of power gains can be made by making sure the EGR system is in good working order, which may be their way to say to the reader you didn't need to remove the system.
