Chaps,

I bypassed the EGR on the FL1 - so I thought I'd look into the FL2.
On the face of it, it looks simpler.

I have an 07/08 model and have a few questions.
I looked at the guides but wanted direct replies..

1. Which do I go for the EGR with a hole (restriction) or without (bypass) - little plates on ebay. (Metal)
2. Is it worth it? Can any one here tell me the benefits they have seen (or not).
3. How easy was it to do - I did the FL1 ok, but I was more familiar with that car.

Thanks guys

M.

Blocking the EGR completely will flag up a fault and put the MIL on. The plates with the small hole are designed to allow a small amount of gas to pass. This should keep the MIL off, while still offering some EGR delete benefits.

Thanks.
I'm not sure if I have the DPF - I thought - if there was no DPF - it could be blocked off.

I'll get the one with the hole in it then - give it a whirl.
From what I read - its fairly simple - black cover off - slip in the shim with a bit of sealant.

I dont want a silly light on.
Watched this.....

Seems ok - bought sealant too.
I hope it makes a difference.

Hi Nodge i was going to blank the EGR off and have it mapped out at a cost which is a bit steep to be honest.Would i be right in thinking if i put a restrictor plate in there instead of the full blank the EGR would not need remapping. Thanks

I'm seeing that - depending on your FL2 - you wont need a remapped - even with Partial thingy.
I also heard that the partial blank is not effective....
