EAS beeps are driving me mad

SpudH, I am very greateful for your advice. If only I had waited just a few more seconds before going to Ebay, spending £50.00 and THEN coming back to this forum, I would have seen your advice. Thats the story of my life. Never mind, done it now. Have to say though, it seems that a lot of people get this problem and for the want of a bit of wire--
I wonder why the people that sell coil spring conversion kits don't include a bit of wire?

The DARK side. Been there for years mate. In the village we used to live in they would burn strangers if they found them outside after dark. If they never had six fingers on each hand (like most of us) we might burn em anyway
Anyway, great minds think alike. One fairly new air compressor, one valve block complete with bolt on black box of tricks, new-ish pressure switch and filter, Two front air bags. All done less than 4000miles. Already on Ebay for anyone who wants a bargin. Also got an ECU but not removed it from car yet. Dryer is also available after removal.
Just in case anyone is near Bristol and interested I could do a deal to save me the hassle of post and packaging.

Now this may sound funny to some, but I cant see any numbers on the plug that goes in to the ECM. I can see the terminals/sockets but no numbers.
SO, if I hold the thing in my hand with the loom comeing in on the right hand side and am looking at the side that meets the ECU exactly where is pin 7 and pin 18? (please no one say between 6&8 and 17&19)
I take it the numbers run from 1 to ? on top row reading left to right, and then start again on the next row from where they finished. Again reading left to right.

Here is a shot showing pins 1 and 8. You can work out the rest from here. Note that the cable end is near pin 1. Incidently this is how to manually run the compressor, jumping pins 1 to 8.

What kit did you get steve, mine came complete with the plug for the becm (Paddocks), seems wrong that kits are getting sold without the plug. SpudH you sound like a man that could be in much demand on here if others are like me where mechanicals is no problem but electronics is a black art. Anyway I have never regretted fitting coils, 18 months and 18K miles later-great.

Place 20 gallons of petrol in container. Fill to brim with equal quantities of fermented dead leaves and grass cuttings. Replace lid and set aside for fourty five years. Slowly drain contents through a sweaty sock into empty container, remove all twigs. Pour into petrol tank. End of process.

47.332 years, add 3/4 of a cup of tea with 2 sugars, a generous handful of used mothballs all drained through sweaty Y-Fronts - if you want the equivilant of 'Momentum' or 'Super' or 'Enhanced' fuels often sold to people who think it will make a blind bit of difference (usually teenage ****s in badly modified Euro-boxes).
 
Wow! 47.332 years. I never expected that level of detail. You are obviously an alhcamist and expert in straining things through sweaty Y fronts.
Would PG tips be OK?

Without doubt, especially when in the Hangar next to my office, they start venting the tanks ready for internal inspection....

Freaky Fun Day we call that, as even though they use the Fuel Vent trailers and vent through the Hangar doors, that vapour just hangs around...
 
Oh what a joy. Did the jumper job (checked inside the plug just to make double sure and the numbers are quite plain to see) and gave it a try. EAS manual displayed for a few seconds then went out. The lower three buttons on the christmas tree came on and stay on but I can live with that. The ride height seems fine (a bit more of a roll on corners but nothing drastic). The best part is, after spending best part of a week stationary on the drive I just drove off. Normally I would have had time for tea and toast while waiting for the thing to "Rise majesticly"
