Good morning again all,
So, working through the things that don’t work on my new (to me) 07 tdv8 and the DVD player doesn’t want to work.
I load the cartridge with dvds (all genuine, no copies), it all lights up and accepts the cartridge. The screen on the headunit goes white and says ‘6 DVD’ in the bottom right, shows this for a few moments, goes black briefly and then shows this again. It does this several times. If I’m in the boot, or have my head in I can hear the dvds spinning up (I think). But after going through what seems to be it checking all six discs the screen goes blue and says ‘Mecha Error’. Can anyone point me in a direction for repairing this or figuring out the issue? All three blue lights come on on the changer itself. The sat nav, cd changer, radio and tv all work. The Bluetooth module is currently removed and bypassed ad that needs to be repaired or replaced.
I’ve read a few posts but not really seen anyone come up with anything definitive for this, or necessarily someone saying it seems to be all powering up, just not playing the dvds.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy.
