I have had to replace these a few times but lately they are just not lasting, I bought a set on ebay and the lasted 3 months before starting to knock again and the rubber dust covers were perished and split - terrible quality. The latest set were fitted at the end of July this year and I thought they would be better being FAI ones but 3 months on and they are knocking:eek:

I think I will have to get some Land Rover ones and hope they last a bit longer but is there any other reason for them wearing out so quickly? I cannot find any other signs of wear around the suspension components

One reason they might be dieing early is if your anti roll bar isn't central. Your anti roll bar has two bump stops either side or the bushes that can sometimes come off. A quick fix for this is two hose clips on the side of the bushes.

Thanks for that. Will check it out :D

i have to same problem but starting to think thats the drop links are not causing the knocking, ive replacement my anti roll bar bushes (had no need to fit the jubilee clips either side as my STOPS were all still there).
Also the bottom thread of the dtop link didnt line up with the hole on the end of the roll bar so i removed droplink in other side to swing the roll bar up so its alligned. Then fitting new droplinks but i still have knocking.
I just cant get my head round it, so might be worth checking for other things such as Wishbone and top strut mounts.

I have ordered 2 drop links from the Land Rover dealer and will check that the anti roll bar is in the correct position when fitting them :)

I've had the same problem with the end links lasting 4-5 months and then having to replace them. I'll try the Delphi ones as suggested, can almost replace the bloody things blindfolded now.

:D Yes it takes longer to get the jack out and wheel off than it does to change them. My Land Rover ones doing fine so far :)

I got new LR drop links for my mot last month, the right hand side is knocking already.

defective part? The left side is fine. It's the join at the bottom that goes to the wheel that seems to be where the problem is.
