Wonder if you cleaver people out there in Landy world can help me with a small problem. The drivers door on my 110 does not close properly there is a small gap at the top of the door wider at the back and tapers down to nothing at the front. It was a lot worse before I replaced the hinges as the pins were worn. I've tried moving the door catch up and loosing the hinges but its still not aligning up properly.

Then my first suspicion would be that the hinges have moved on the bulkhead. There's virtually no movement available on the door side of the hinge. The bulkhead side fixes in to larger slots and IIRC you can position them slightly. A small amount of movement at the hinge can cause a significant amount of movement at the other end/edge of the door.

As per above, there is a little movement at the hinges where they screw into the bulkhead. Loosen them, hold/close the door so that it's sitting fairly well and re-tighten. Having three hands helps a lot!

"Loosening the screws " can be a mare.
Use an impact driver with the correct bit.
No need for an impact driver as I've recently replace the hinges bolts n all, from what you guys are saying I need a third hand I'll have a go at what Zeaphod suggested sometime this weekend with the help of a friend and hope it works.

Ahhh, ok.
Slacken all the bolts, door and piller, and lign up an tighten.
If it won't go right you're into bulkhead/ tub adjustment unless the door itself is wrong which is unlikely.

A helper will make things a lot easier. Don't panic, if it worked before you changed the hinges it will work after.
Well no the gap was alot worse before I replaced the hinge due to worn hinge pins. Weather permitting a friend is going to try and help me out on Saturday, that'll cost me a few pints o_O

Well after many attempts and a few pints afterwards no matter how we tried we could not get the drivers door to align properly. Possibly due to the lower hinge area on the door being dented in but I have also noticed how badly rusted the interior of the door is, to the point there are holes in the frame. I guess I really need to replace the doors as the passenger side is just as bad. Due to plenty overtime I think my budget can stretch to these, unless I get alot more overtime I dont think I can afford the direct replacements which come in at twice the price. Must admit I kinda like the look of the series II style doors
