Hi All, Advise needed on the door locks, 2004 TD5 110.

They all play up when the weathers not dry. Ive broke a couple of push buttons inside so need the door cards off etc, while im in there so to speak what else can I do in the way of servicing the other lock/central locking components, what to look for in terms of worm parts and whats the best lubricant to use?

Have to go round shutting the doors when anyone gets in as they seem to think slamming the living **** out of doors will help!

one did fly open while driving, good job the passenger seat was empty, well the dog would have jumped out!

If the doors flying open while driving it's very likely that the plastic on the striker is worn. I've had this happen a lot. New strikers are cheap enough but a temporary fix is to wrap it in insulation tape or similar.

Thanks mate, I'll give that a try.

Also when I unlock with the central locking, the push buttons don't always pop up so the door remains locked, assume this might be a link arm or similar?
