Could somebody please post a pic of there door switch on an early defender? I'm going to sort a bit of security for my dads defender as he's slacking but I'm unsure where they were fitted.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Surely you can decide where you want it as long as it works?

Never had one on any of my 90's.

Yes I could, it's just I'd rather fit it where they are as standard. Just because I'm like that! An I know the early one's may not have them as standard so I'd like to fit it in the same place as the first ones had them fitted as standard!! ;)

An alarm may be a good idea - but early defenders were not known for security enhancements. Maybe a good set of locks might help and one of the various tried and tested systems mentioned on here first?

No. How often do you run towards a car with the alarm going off shouting ''i'm here to save this vehicle''..or do you say ''****ing hell, another bloody alarm''.

Disklock and clutch claw are a start.

Its remote where I live, so when I hear an alarm I know its ours and I go running towards it with a lump of steel in my hand in the shape of an asp :D

Yes the other devices will follow but first I want to fit an alarm with a warn away alarm. Its alerted me to late night borrowers on my landy quite a few times now. I can fit these anywhere just like I said above I'd rather put them where LR do.
