Evening gents...

was sat here bored and thought posting about this as someone might have an idea...

the door bottoms on my 90 are pretty rusted, so the doors dont close flush with the rubber seals, and the rubber seals are not in their best state either..

meaning..

when im flying through mud, the muddy water comes flying in, close to the door card..
I thought about replacing the rubber seals for new ones, but im sure this alone wont cure the problem as the gap is bigger than normal...

any ideas on what to use to help seal the door against the floor side (sill)?

cheers!

JP

I had a quick look to see how they are fitted, didnt quite get it as I could feel a nut/bolt through the rubber but seemed like it was inside the rubber?

not sure how its fitted.... im sure wilthisre landy man can shed some light as i think he has done his....

My foot is not an option..lol, would have to be the missus foot as my side is ok, its on her side the water comes up

its just the bottom of the doors mate.. dont think that would help?

as the bottom has rusted, the bottom of the door has kind of got loose? and opens up?
dont know if thats any good of explanation!

fitted all new door seals around entire doors when i resprayed me 90,cost a bloody bomb tho..

Where did you get your door seals from mate? I know they are easily available from ebay etc but Im sure there are lots of inferior ones about, that perhaps dont fit?

Im about to have a respray on my 110 so may need new seals all round on all five doors:eek:

Got seals for my V8 Vogue at automobiletrim.com. They should have something for Defenders etc. too. Hope this helps.
