Door Latch & Imobiliser Fault

Hi Gents,

Got a problem, my P38 keeps thinking the door has been opened when it hasn't - this triggers the alarm or if not locked the interior lights so often that the imobiliser and ecu get totally confused and loose the codes needing me to have my local independant come out wwith the computer to reset it.

My question is this - where can I get a good reasonably priced replacement door latch and / or does any one know how to disable the imobiliser - where I live I don't really need the level of security that it has - just locking the doors is enough -

any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

first thing is how good is your bat, i would take the wire off rf box it sounds like it picking up some thing and waking your becm up. hope that helps you. j

forgot to say you can get a box to resync it your self from black box sol, it will save you all them call outs

Yep had the RF disconnected for a good while now - Batt good partly due to being plugged into a conditioning charger when not to be used for a couple of days and when I am working on it - do you know how much the kit is from black box sol ? - you are dead right about the call out costs they are adding up.....

yes comes to£130 with post but gives you peace of mind i never go out without mine

Looks ideal and a local supplier Taw park 4x4 has them - looking to go fetch come Monday

strip out the door latch mechanism and clean/free/grease it, its not guaranteed but ive had sucess with mine doing this!
