and true about the torque with big wheels. but i havent got the money for the higher ratios yet... and i worked out with a 1.2 box and 265/75s the top end would be 75mph which isnt too bad
what did you get out of yours with the 1.2 box?

what rpm spring is the one youd recommend? and how do you fit them?

what throttle cable did you use?

The throttle cable I use is off a left hand drive 300tdi def , just long enough. Motor and diesel stock them.
Check out fitting the spring on youtube, and wind up your fuel as a standard non tuned but non de tuned for highways 6bt is 350bhp +
My first cummins conversion used a 1.2 box I think that was 70ish but I cant remember cos it was 12yrs ago, get it done because big torquey engines need high gearing to accellerate fast

thanks Greenlove the colour was because it would be unique and i had enough of people "not seeing me" and pulling out... but girls like it because of the colour so i cant complain
and i agree it looks rather mad max when charging across the field towards you with no bonnet or front and a blue rope for throttle with ya cousin at the wheel haha

just one issue im having now is it not revving up past half throttle (will post a vid up shortly which will show it in more detail)
ive fitted a elecy lift pump with is meant to be good for 220+ hp and double the flow n pressure of the one i had with the tdi in so i cant see why it wont rev

Any pics of the exhaust set up at all? I wanted to do a stack for my 90 truck cab ( standard 200tdi ), i'm thinking of running it to the rear wheel arch then up through the tub, similar to what people do with the side exit set up, but vertical

thats pretty much how its done... i had it made when i was running a 200tdi disco engine so i had to cut it and fit flex to make it work it work with the cummins

Looks like you're still having trouble with more than half throttle?

yea thats what im trying to highlight... redid the feed and returns and fitted a bigger lift pump... undid the return and knocked all the **** out of the the return so ive got the fuel returning now... so were left with I/P or Injector fault... with 4/5 injectors cracked off the engine barely changes note ... so im thinking injector overhaul is the next step in the game
