i know it needs it to fire the compressor up,but that besides will it fuction correctly without ac signal from alternator?

my engine alt dont have a tap on windings for rpm,it uses ignitor unit for rpm..now thats a lower frequency and besides square wave, eas dont see it..compressor independantly wired up so it fires up fine and tells the eas to close varoius valves...but will eas fuction witghout signal,ie raise lower etc..?

thanks

In normal operation the engine has to be running for the Compressor to operate, the BeCM tells the EAS ECU that the engine is running and it should get on with some work.

The EAS system doesn't take 'Engine Operating/Running' information from the Alternator.

If you follow the circuit diagrams correctly, you could rig a bypass in to get the compressor running with engine off, by emulating the 'Go' signal from the BeCM. Unwise though as the current draw would drain a battery in a number of hours.

yep..tis from alt...mine alt dont have that tap as nippon..bugger,so wont change height on the move...proberly explains the funny ecu fault code too..ie car has moved???(course it has i drove it??)

so to make an alt emulator...sigh..

Car has moved, simply means it has dropped from the position it was in when the ignition was switched off. It is not a fault as such. But does indicate a slight leak.

ah,thanks..that will be me playing with air pressures in bags then..

now to make a square wave to sine wave converter + frequency multiplier to get ign ecu 5v pulse to run eas ecu..

still worth it the ride on air is soooooo nice..
