dodgy metallic ringing noise...solved

was on yesterday about noise from my disco when moving, well after putting it on a ramp last nite i discovererd there were no locking pins holding the front drivers side brake pads in!!!!!!!!! i think this is the problem, next question.... can you buy these? also is the supposed to be a spring type device to keep them in under tension that comes with these pins or do they just slot in?

yes.. you should have a metal plate that acts as a spring to keep them down and then the pins over it...

yeh.. just click the link and buy them off ebay..
altought the ones off the link are for the rear, but if you search ebay you'll find the front ones

You can get the front pad retaining rods, springs and split pins all in one kit. But not from DLS as the do a kit of pins and another for the springs & pins costs twice as much..

Link shows pins for Vents but they do them for standard brakes.
