I bought a Ipad box for £564 last week told him to fook orf when he asked for payment :D then got a message off ebay saying not to pay him as they had removed the item. and if i had paid to commence a resolution case within 10days and I would get a full refund..

Bump. Ask Sarah to confirm the last 4 numbers of the vin. They should be 0266. And first registered in May 97. 8 owners and no colour change. I found this out easily. If 'she' is bright so will she but interesting to see what the response will be.

Sadly i think i might have burnt my bridge with "Sarah" when i provided my shipping address as the police station in Leicester

But, if she comes back to me i will indeed ask :)

I reported it through eBay... but... they won't do anything about it, they're quite happy to sell illegal / stolen / fake stuff as they still make money on it.

Looking at the sellers account they've never sold a thing on ebay, and the things they've bought are mostly clothes. So it may well be the account has been hijacked?
.
I hear a lot of Ebay accounts are hijacked,
But how is this possible, do some people have special programs that find details?

There is this thread you can read about a top scammer "selling" a Land Cruiser Camper.
here
Post 2 starts to give the scam game away.
Every time he advertises it on eBay, we find it, go through all the details, like here, we even get as far as banking accounts, 3 TIMES !!
Eventually Ebay pull the add, as loads of us report it to Ebay.
The police have been informed GOD knows how many times, and we have given details, upon details-----------do you think the police are interested----are they ****-----too much thinking for them.
If you read the thread, you can get a very good idea of how the scam with this Defender will pan out, with bank accounts etc.

I had the same email story with this scammer, and yes, if you are stupid enough to part with £3,900 before seeing an object then more fool you.

It appears to have been removed from ebay - I guess enough people reported it.....

Well the "sellers" of the 90 in Leicester have kindly sent me 3 fake ebay emails now (all forwarded on to the eBay scam email box)

They seem to use a Barclay's bank account so i'll be contacting Barclay's too
