Well decided to fit a rubber aerial today so I can still have radio on while green laning n not have to worry about snapping it all was going well removed two bolts out fuse box so I could move it to one side so I could pull the cable thru got it all working...but was getting dark so decided to pack up went to lock it ..........NOTHING!!! So now got a bendy aerial n no alarm or central locking!! Nothing works off fob or using key in door so had to lock all doors manually going to have a better look in morning but baffled ! Lol any ideas anyone? Cheers

Will have a better look in morning when it's light! But couldn't see anything amiss I only moved it to one side so I could pull the cable thru god knows!! Lol will attack it tomorrow either with loving hands or a lump hammer depending how things go!!! Haha

I was thinking of changing my aerial as its pretty much ruined anyway, did the rubber one fit in the wing ok? only a friend fitted one and the hole was too big and he had to bodge it.

I got one from halfords as i got some xmas vouchers, fitted perfectly and there is an ariel connector under the steering column so u dont even have to take the stereo out took me about half an hour lol

sorted!!!!!! kept blowing a fuse every time i started it then replaced metal seloniod thing from scap yard put yet another fuse in and hay presto it all works again!...and brian s mine fit ok base covered the hole there is some movement till u tighten it up but did cover it well suppose it depends on wot base is on the new aerial,it is a bit fiddly as u have to undo the wing but not a bad job if u move fuse box to one side u can see were the aerial feeds in and pull it thru then theres a connector under steering so no need to pull stereo out
