i have actually done that fairly recently though i might give it another clean. i know my maf sensor is dead, (no signal on neilly's nanocom) but it was running ok on default. it just seems very slightly 'rougher' than it used to be with a kind of 'rumble' at around 2000rpm. my engine mounts have seen better days so that probably doesn't help.
Can I just be clear, I'm not talking about the MAF sensor on the corrugated plastic incoming air pipe; I'm referring to the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor on the actual aluminium inlet manifold.

Hope that helps...............

i know, manifold air pressure sensor and mass air flow sensor. i was just saying that my maf is dead. failing maf can lead to rough running but a dead one uses default ecu setting so probably not related to recent running issues as it was dead before.
