Discovery auto won’t change gear

Hi all

looking for abit of help before I buy a new gearbox . Was out at a pay and play site the other day and just lost drive Turned out to be a half shaft so changed that after that lost drive.

I topped up the gear box oil as it was rather low but can only seem to get 1st gear when it’s selected and same with reverse.

anyone got any ideas what I could do to fix it or new box ?

Welcome to the forum

If it moves off in manual 1st and Reverse but doesn't engage when in Drive, then that is a Sprag clutch A failure.

Quite common, especially on boxes which have had a hard life.

Rebuild is the way to go if that is the case.
