Defender 90 won’t move forward in gear.

So my 90 won’t move, it started with a weird noise coming from the front driver side wheel I managed to limp it back home, turned it off and on again as any good British person would do. As it starts up again I select 1st gear to see if it pulls off it did for a short time and then stopped. Now whenever I select a gear it won’t budge but when I have it in high diff lock it will move and that’s the only way to move it. Reverse won’t work either. Front prop spins freely. Anyone any thoughts please?

Front driver side half-shaft or drive flange is/are knackered.
