Freelander1 auto td4 gear change

Hi everyone, l am Ant from Oldham. Got problem, Freelander 1 td4 auto. Auxiliary belt snapped,plus starter died , so did belt . To change starter l took battery box out plus air intake box off and few of the water pipes and turbo pipe. Once l put everything back , started ok, revs fine. So l thought all sorted, then went to move it, noticed it wasn't changing up the gears, was fine before. What controls gear change . Sure l put all connectors back and vac pipes . Going to strip battery box out tomorrow. Is there any connection under the battery box to do with gear box, thanks.

Vac pipes

There's a wiring harness from the L shaped plastic box that travels to the top of the gearbox. Look for damage. The computers controling the gearbox and engine are in the L shaped box.
