theres plenty f guides on the internet,its a straight forward job,could have the head off within 45 mins if everything is realitivly unseized.
Yes, but its still a biggish job for a novice........Then it might need skimming, then there is running around for bits etc........if you've worked on vehicles, you know how sods law normally comes into force.......nothing is ever straight forward.
I said it could be fixed, but it involves time and money, and Landylass said she would rather move onto a newer Disco......time to upgrade, and for convenience.

i will buy it off you for £400 do the head gasket and radiator,full service and checkover full valet and sell it back to you for £1500
Its frustrating if you dont have the experience or even a decent tool kit but you should be able to sort something out with someone here.........new gasket and bolts is about 35 quid and a pressure test and skim if necesary 50-70. The rest is just straight forward labour thats very DIYable
