Hi, my discovery 3 tdv6 went into limp mode while driving at 70. I had suspension warning light & message, htc warning light & message, park break failure message. I think that was it. Any advice would be appreciated.

hi and welcome to the asylum

u need to get it plugged into a diagnostic reader due to its complexity

if u turn the engine off and back on again does it clear the fault

how old is the battery

any pics plse of ur d3 , we like pics, lol

there's a few of us D3 owners on here so happy to help

Hi Gary,
Thank you I had a diagnostic today that came up with a few electrical/communication problems & advised to take it to a Land Rover specialist who will have the software.
This is my first discovery & I love 'him' my children have nick names him 'the beast'

hiya

plenty of room that's for sure , :D

when u had it read were there any fault codes please, as u really need them seeing it can be so many different things

many of us buy our own diagnostics, for the D3 one called iid by gap diagnostics is very good, alas are 400 quid but pay for itself very quickly

Hi did you find out what was the problem I just had the exact same thing happen to me. Turned off and back on and all was fine then a week later same thing again but this time no limp mode the engine just stoped dead when turning at a junction leaving me with no brakes and no steering ended up on the wrong side of the road on a grass verge.

When I got a flood of warning lights all over the show on my P38 it was the battery volts too low (dodgy/failing alternator).
New Battery & alternator cured the lot. Start with the battery checks and replace if required. There is a battery/Alternator health checklist somewhere.
Good luck! Welcome to the madness.
