discovery 1 wont start

hi all can anyone help i have a disco 1 95 300tdi manual that wont start by the key if i bump start it, it runs as normal. iv fitted a new ignition switch as i thought that could be the fault but it isnt. and tried a new starter and cleaned up all terminals and nothing any ideas anyone?????

Earth strap or fuse?

yes mate checked fuses and cleaned and replaced earth strap still nothing.

Pop your hand down with a large screwdriver and touch the solenoid and the exciter together or wire it with some jump leads straight to the battery.

Is it turning over fast enough to start or is it slow ?

the starter turns when i do that mate when i connected it by jump leads

it dont turn over what so ever mate

Do they not have a starter relay?

If you fitted a new ignition switch, but now the starter won't turn on the ignition, but it will turn over when power is to it, I'd start by re-checking your ignition wiring etc.

Right after a bit off messing around I bump started it again and after 15mins of running I turn the key whilst the engine is still running and the starter turns over by the key lol so I turn it off to start it up again and nothing completely dead lol
