Just wondering if anyone has a spare roof spoiler sat arround for sale?

I have one on another Discovery and thought about taking it off but its well stuck down and will mess the paint up if I do!

Its cool as it stops the rain and water entering at the top of the door and keeps the boot dry!

I am thinking since its now a dead item as far as LR are conserend and I cant find anyone selling them, if there were enough demand for them I may pull it off the Van and get a few made by a body shop.

Has anyone got one?
Is anyone after one?
Would people want one if I were to get them made?

A roof spoiler?

A FECKIN' ROOF SPOILER ....

Words fail ...

As for it stopping the rain getting in, basic care and maintenance would do that!

OK, OK, I know I was a bit sharp .. what I really meant was use threats and bullying .. and a decent application of Vaseline ...

Count me in for a rear wing for my disco, I have trouble keeping the back end planted when cornering on track days.

It is a proven fact that the spoiler at the rear can aid rear end grip, if you are holding it with both hands REAL TIGHT!!!:D

Got a pic of the other Disco with the spoiler on it??

Sorry, couldn't resist it

I've never seen or heard of a roof spoiler kit for a Disco. Anyone got any pics? Not that I want one...I just want to know what they look like

They look as good as the colour coded one already shown by stretchie, I mean.....what more could you ask for?

Lol Ok looks like all the oldies are not up for it! Guess you will be able to save the money and have the boot floor re welded lol.

It is indeed the photo that is posted second. The one I have is here.

They were made by LR as an optional extra and make the box look a little easier on the eye and also save having to explain to the wife why you keep going to the garage with the vasaline!

Some will like it some wont.
The initial thread was not do you like it but anyone got one spare or want one if I get one made!

As for grip I tend to sit a fat bird in the back works a treat:rolleyes:

Now you've posted that picture it's made my mind up. I don't want one .. ;) I reckon the leading edge (can't see it properly) might get caught in twigs and bushes etc ... How is it fastened on? How's the leading edge fixed down?

Does it actually do anything, or is it a gimmick to make a Disco look a bit more like a slitty?

At the risk of sounding like a salesman at PC world (e.g. someone not knowing their R's from their elbow)

You mean the bits running below the doors?

yeah, the black strip, theres a bunch of plastc rivets that hold them on maybe 10-15 of them... drill out the centers of the plastic rivits and rip that plastic off...

All the mud and moisure rots the sills and that plastic trim is a water trap. you can always buy them rivits from ebay if you want to put it back on again. but get it off and at least clean up the rust you'll find behind..!

A stitch in time and all that...
