Discovery 1 front recovery mount

Hi peoples,

I need some recovery mounts on the front anyone got any good suggestions or is steering guard with eyes the only way

Enuf for you?

Ive only got a tubular front bumper not much meat on it

snot my fault

get a steering guard or change the bumper?

I have a home made bumper and added a tow pin to it, hangs the winch hook on and doubles as a very strong recovery point. Don't use just a normal towball ..

towball is ok, depending on circumstances.

Jate rings any good?

I've fitted a jate ring to the front so that will do

Tow balls are far from ideal, if the internet is to be believed people have been killed that way. I fitted a steering guard behind the standard bumper, just needed to trim a little plastic so I can get the shackles in.

Fit 2. And get a short strap to act as a bridle. Spread the load.
