Hi -

Yes I know - I'm sure I'm going to get a few "What?!" and "Whys?!" from this!....Here goes:

Does anyone know of where to find/ who holds any stock of the Discovery 1 body styling kits?

I saw one the other day with the fatter bumpers and rear spoiler - I suppose it's a taste thing, but I thought it worth an investigate! I see Rimmer Bros have the kit on their site, but as unavailable. Am waiting to hear back.

Thanks - I'd be interested to see if anyone knows the story behind the styling - if it was an aftermarket thing or a limited edition.

Cheers.

Hold on did he say spoiler? Wtf? What a waste of time and money. Spend it on fixing the rust.

Dunno about the rest of the body styling kit. (its not to my taste but i have seen a project done in America where they built an off road disco including converting from a V8 to a 300tdi engine that had the rear spoiler on it and it looked the dogs bollocks in my opinion. NAS Discovery Tdi

You haven't a clue have you. obviously non D1 owners in a disco forum. :D

The body kit is listed in the 1997/8 D1 accessory catalogue.

Core Kit, STC7662 c/w front apron side moulding, wheel arch protectors bumper end caps and rear apron.
Option 1, STC7756 Rear boot spoiler.
Option 2, STC7774 Side sills.

Yeah, I know I've dug up an old thread but I had a thought. The rear spoiler might actually be of some use, it could help keep crap off the rear screen during high(relatively speaking) speed on road use?

 Soooo..... You bought a disco.... but you actually wanted a Shogun maybe.... now you wanna make the disco look like a Shogun..... There's an obvious answer here me thinks! :D:D:D:D:behindsofa:

That was completely lost on me guys!?

I think the kit would look good to ray charles

Any thoughts on whether the spoiler would keep dirt off the rear screen?

nice bit of tree hugging, bobble hat brigade will love that!! Good effort though, love the paint job mind you, Salisbury mud?

4 letters 3 letters 4 letters

Duck *cough* prat?? ;)

But seriously I had a 200 shaped V8 that had those massive side mouldings, unfortunately I ripped off a rear arch off roading one day. But I do agree the door mouldings did help slide past things
