Disco tyres.

Can anyone tell me what are the largest tyres that can be fitted to a standard disco 300Dti.without having to carry out any alterations. I have a chance to buy some C-Trax MT 265 70s that are said to be like the BFGMts. I have standard Disco alloy rims on at the moment, with 205 70s on. Will the 265s fit without having any adverse effect. Thanks Mick.

They won't fit without either a suspension lift and/or chopping some pieces out of your bodywork.

Maybe you do but he was askin about 265's. which will fit on but will clout the bodywork with even the slightest suspension movement.
Agreed a search will find everything anyone might like to know on the subject and probably lots they wouldn't.

why do you think we have this in the "common faults and questions" section?

exactly and we still get people saying they need tolift the disco to fit bigger tyres.


And as for cutting the panels you can pull them out and fit stays so they dont rub
