Got my new springs.. went for red/yellow, according to the spring chart its one of the longest with a nice soft rate and small wire width.. so plenty of travel!
Installed the 15 inch travel shocks on the new +8 mounts.
Also did a bit more reconnecting in the engine bay after refurbing thr wheels on our daily... kerbed t ****e!

Those calipers should be with you today, no doubt they will test your patience/blasting cabinet

Sorry for the blurry ass pic, the tree was fooking it up!
the new springs still have 4.5" of dislocation!I will install a small spring spacer as they will compress further than the old ones due to smaller wire width and 1 less coil!
Hopefully that will give me a bit less dislocation and also I might add some dislocation cones if needed.

Picked up the 1st bit for the 3 link setup at the front whilst picking up the replacement wing

Rite, been playing around with these calipers for a few days now.. got 2 pistons stuck in 1 and 3 in the other... they wont budge.
G clamped em to get them moving then put 100psi of air in em and still no luck, any ideas?

New calipers. Don't **** about with brakes.

I don't agree with the 'new brakes all the time' rule cos IMO good brakes are good brakes

The calipers were pretty badly seized on mine when I got it a good few years ago!

I got them out using grips in the end I think, just plenty of brute force as best I could.

Yea they are lol, Good idea ill try give em a twist if I can with sum grips. Once they are moving they should be serviceable providing rhe rust is not past the seals.

Are you replacing the pistons and seals or just trying to get them moving again?

When I refurbed my calipers as per my post HERE I did have a couple of pistons that had seized completely. A couple of swift whacks with a chisel from either side freed them up although it did mark the piston. I wasn't bothered as I was swopping them though

Stainless pistons are nice but expensive

I just took mine out and surfaced them up again on the belt sander and new seals, away we go good brakes ever since

Most of the wiper seals wouldn't go in and all have fallen out/been removed during lad changes ever since so I just ####ed them off and left them with just the fluid seal, and guess what

Still just fine

I know.. not cheap, but I've not seen any tires with 100% sidewall before!
