probbaly not loads but they asked me when quoting. If they knock a tenner off its better than a slap round the chops!

why do you need laning cover - laning is driving on public roads I thought .. all beit unmade roads... therefore standard insurance should cover it right?

at the very least RTA insurance would be in place..

any ideas of companies to try for under25s??

most of my quotes are between £550 and £700 for fire&theft with 7years no claims

Try Norcounty the number is in my first post.
Ask for Jennifer (She owns the company)
Tell her David from SSP sent you.
See what she can come up with.
She saved me £100 quid as my renewal with lancaster went up from 295 to 370 quid! ?
Jennifer did same policy fully comp etc etc £265.
Cant ask for better really.

i'm paying £240 for a disco V8.
But it ain't worth the hassle with these ****ty online sites. useless call centres, don't like mods, won't gimme a green card etc.

Post office online.

I know exactly what you mean. I work in IT all our customers are Insurance companies! :-0
Norcounty is a small local insurance brokers. when you call you usually get to speak to Jennifer and she's the owner.
Well worth a call just to see if she can beat your quote.
I didnt get "special" rates cos I do some work for them.
She recconed that she specializes in 4x4 so can give good quotes.
I cannot stress enough. it pays to shop around.
I get well peaved that every year when it comes to renewal. its always more than i paid last year. does me nut in!!!
wots the point of no claims bonus when in reality it means fook all unless you move insurers..?
an it makes me **** that the actual company that supplies the policy is the same. last years policy was highway. an its highway again now,, just £100 quid cheaper...

I have been through every page of my tesco policy including the schedule and the certificate and cannot find any mention of greenlaning.. I don't think an insurer can exclude lanes as my understanding is that greenlanes are considered roads - the road traffic act applies and therefore your insurance must cover you.. I would be wary of companies trying to make you pay extra for it..

just renewed my insurance now

adrian flux - 24yo, 3points, 7 years protected ncd, greenlane cover, mods(mt's, susp, snorkle)

£402 until i mentioned landyzone wen they nocked off £38 so its £364

well impressed

Had same problem eventualy they accepted it was fac/fit but like above have no proof slobodans link site is about as clear as mud. so also interestedto know. must be a way of getting certificate!!?

They are sending me letters now asking for proof of immobiliser or they are going to add a surcharge, I think I'll cancel it now I'm home and have a shop around

Hi,

This is Jennifer from NorCounty Insurance Services. I've just registered with you and I'd like to find out if there is a way of me advertising my company with you / sponsoring your site?

i have a small, very efficiently run insurance brokerage and an excellent 4x4 scheme and I know that a number of your members are already happily insured though ourselves.

Number one priority... we offer a no-nonsense approach and will happily chat with customers, new and old!

If anyone knows of a way I might be able to advertise my services I'd love to hear from them.

Thank you

Jennifer
