 Hi, I have found that overnight my Auto has lost 2nd, 3rd and 4th? everything else is fine, Park Reverse and 1st, but it will not change up at all. Any clues to what this might be would be V helpfull. Cheers, Mal

ask Slob or Sirus to move this to the Disco section - yu mite have more luck there.;)

see - ask and it shall be dun - wot helpful mods we got

Yeah I have done that, but to be honest I am not a 100% sure I am reading it correctly. When I check it, should I have it idling in Park or Neutral?

Engine OFF and you need to be underneath the vehicle - you will need a spanner to remove the oil filler bung. this is also the oil level indicator - if oil flows out when you remove the bung replace it immediately as your oil level is ok - if no oil flows - fill it until it starts to overflow and replace the bung - that is it.

This is an auto-box? I thought the only way to check the oil level and or fill it was via the dipstick??

You can only check the auto box oil with the engine running and in park.Ref the no gears prob check the wiring for the air flow meter near the air con pump to see if it has chaffed through it can cause a faulty reading to the ecu which talks to the auto box ecu.
