The bumper now has its mounts all fitted with gussets all made from 8mm plate so will be well up to the job!

then welded the 2nd hand winch tray to the steering guard brackets

its all worked out quite nicely imo

added the end caps to the bumper so now i just need to trim the step and angle it up

have also used the little off cuts to gusset the recovery points as they had bent in the past

not my tidiest bit of welding:eek: but its nice and strong

didn't all go to plan tho as for some reason it reacted on the top of the os wing

so a quick flat off and re-prime and paint sorted it

and out of the workshop for the first time in a few weeks


note the the spotlights have been recessed in to the grill took forever to do but was well worth it

Yeah thinking I should do mine now lol
it really has come out far better than I thought it could,
didn't need much prep a quick flatoff with a scotch pad bit of panel wipe and get painting!!
 
Well the bobtail (BoB) definately did what i wanted it to :D
really pleased with the overall finish and performed really well at slab on sunday.

And a big thankyou to my brother matt for all his hard work,def couldnt have done it on my own :)
heres a couple of pics taken at jetwash on way home from slab,and the good news is the paint didnt wash off :D
