disco 200tdi into a petrol RR?

Hi all, I have a 93 200tdi disco and the body is rotting more & more.

How difficult is it to put into a petrol RR of the same age? There are a few petrols for sale near me and i know someone with a 3.9 with a knackered head which he is reluctant to fix which i could use.

I have the disco to strip if any of the parts are interchangable.

I know it won be as easy as a transplant into a defender but can it be done?

As far as I am aware you will have to change the gearbox crossmember, engine mounts, Probably fuel pump not sure on fuel lines. Wiring loom for engine etc. Rad?

Not sure what else would need changing though.

true but you would have all the bits on the disco and they fit without mod,in fact you can lift off each body and just swap over fitting is the same
